"The enormous multiplication of books in every branch of knowledge is one of the greatest evils of this age... it presents one of the most serious obstacles to the acquisition of correct information, by throwing in the reader's way piles of lumber in which he must painfully grope for... scrapes of useful matter..." Those words could have been written this afternoon but in fact were uttered by Edgar Allen Poe back in the 1800's!
What would Poe think of the mega bookstores, libraries, and World Wide Web of today? Do a search online on even the simplest of subjects and you get back a few hundred thousand websites. There is too much information out there making finding what you seek more like finding a needle in a haystack.
Heinrich Heine is credited with saying, "Experience is a good school. But the fees are high." The school of hard knocks has always been a tough place to get an education, especially when it comes to health and fitness. The industry is a maze of countless false starts and dead ends, with misleading information around every corner.
